StarSocial Partner Terms of Use – Woolworths
1. StarSocial is a rewards programme owned and operated by Star Hospitality Group Limited (Star or we).
2. StarSocial entitles the employees of Corporate Partners (Corporate Partner, you or your) to earn StarSocial Reward Points (StarPoints) on eligible purchases made in any participating establishment in accordance with these terms and conditions (Terms).
3. A list of participating establishments can be found at www.stargroup.nz (Participating Establishments). Participating Establishments may also display signage indicating they are part of StarSocial.
4. All decisions by Star in relation to the StarSocial programme shall be made in its sole and absolute discretion, and all decisions by Star are final.
REGISTRATION TO BE A CORPORATE PARTNER
5. Only employees of the corporate entity may be onboarded to create their individual corporate membership account.
6. By signing the corporate registration form, you agree to these Terms. We may amend these Terms from time to time without prior notification to you. You are responsible to review these Terms periodically for any changes.
7. To become a Corporate Partner of StarSocial:
a. you must appoint an employee to be the main point of contact that is authorised by the Corporate Partner to manage the Corporate Partner’s StarSocial account (“Corporate account”) (the “POC”);
b. the POC signs up on behalf of the Corporate Partner by completing the corporate registration form and registering on the StarSocial Application (Application) or online at www.stargroup.nz/starsocial-register by providing their name, their corporate entity’s name, corporate email address, mobile phone number and password;
c. the POC provides the name, corporate email address, and phone number of a secondary point of contact (“Secondary POC”) (provided that the POC has obtained the necessary approvals and sought prior consent from the Secondary POC to disclose their personal information to Star); and
d. the POC verifies the Corporate account and agrees to the StarSocial Rewards Terms of Use by responding to the verification email or SMS message received.
8. All personal details and profile information given to StarSocial must be accurate. It is up to you to keep your profile information and personal details up to date.
9. Star may terminate your StarSocial Partnership without notice if you do not comply with the Terms.
10. A Corporate Partner may terminate their Corporate account at any time by giving notice to StarSocial via sending an email to starsocial@stargroup.nz.
11. Upon successful registration, for a limited time period only, each employee that registers with your unique code for an individual corporate membership account will be credited with 20 StarPoints that they may use at a Participating Establishment (“Employee Sign-Up Points”). The time period may be amended in accordance with Star’s sole and absolute discretion. These StarPoints are valid for use by your employee for a duration of 2 months from the date the code is input by the employee.
STARSOCIAL PARTNERSHIP AND BENEFITS
12. A record of all StarPoints earned by each employee will be maintained on the StarSocial system.
13. The StarPoints are not exchangeable for cash or credit by your employees unless specifically stated otherwise.
14. Star may amend the terms and conditions for each StarSocial Partnership. All decisions by Star is final and binding.
15. The StarSocial Tier that your employees will be granted is “StarPartner Tier”, where an additional 10% discount on the full price of Tap Beer, Wine, Cocktails & Soft Drinks, Burgers, Pizzas & Fish and Chips at Participating Establishments, subjected to the following limitation: up to a maximum of 4 drinks and 2 food items per 24-hour period. The additional 10% discount in this clause cannot be used at the event: Wellington on a Plate.
16. The discounts and/or benefits offered under the StarPartner Tier shall not be used in conjunction with other discounts offered at a Participating Establishment. In such cases, and as much as possible, the more favourable discount shall apply.
17. To illustrate: your employee with a StarPartner Tier level visits a Participating Establishment that is running a promotional offer, for example: 2 pizzas for $40. The employee will enjoy the promotional offer being run by the Participating Establishment instead of receiving an additional 10% discount stated in sub-clause (a) above i.e. your employee will pay $40 and not $36, as the saving in the promotional offer is greater.
18. For avoidance of doubt, and as mentioned in (b.) above, this is not a guarantee and is always subject to Star’s ability to amend the terms at any time without prior notice to you, and all decisions by Star shall be made in its sole and absolute discretion, and are final.
19. Corporate Partner’s existing unique code will cease to have effect at 23:59 on 31 March of every calendar year. A new unique code will be generated one month prior to 31 March and communicated to you. This new code shall have effect from 1 April until 31 March of the subsequent calendar year. In the event that an employee’s employment with the Corporate Partner terminates, the employee will lose access to the benefits attached to the StarPartner tier. However, they will retain all StarPoints earned, and their Membership tier level will be determined accordingly. They may continue to use StarSocial Rewards in line with the StarSocial Rewards Terms of Use.
20. Staff Benefits attached to the StarPartner Tier are held in agreement between the Corporate Partner and Star Group. In the event that the Corporate Partner cancels its Corporate Partnership Agreement, the Corporate Partner’s staff will lose access to StarPartner Tier benefits.
TERMINATION
21. We may discontinue or suspend StarSocial at any time.
22. Each Corporate Partnership period runs until 31 March of every calendar year (“End Date”).
a. A notice will be sent to you prior to the End Date informing you of the approaching End Date.
b. Your organisation’s existing unique code will cease to have effect at 23:59 31 March of every calendar year. A new unique code will be generated one month prior to 31 March and communicated to you. This new code shall have effect from 1 April until 31 March of the subsequent calendar year.
c. Your employees need to input the new unique code prior to 1 April of every calendar year to continue accessing the benefits of the StarPartner Tier.
OTHER BENEFITS
23. We may offer other personalised product deals, services, rewards, gifts or other benefits (Benefits) to Corporate Partners. The Benefits may change without notice. The nature, quantity, award and availability of the Benefits will be decided by Star.
24. To redeem a Benefit, you must follow the instructions provided by Star.
25. You must redeem a Benefit within the time stated. Otherwise, it will expire. There may be limits on the number of Benefits you may receive. Benefits may not be used in conjunction with any other Benefit unless stated otherwise.
26. We do not guarantee the availability of any Benefits and we are not responsible or liable to you if a Benefit is or becomes unavailable. If a Benefit or part of it becomes unavailable for a reason beyond our control, we will award a similar item of equal or greater value.
APPLICATION AND WEBSITE
27. You acknowledge and agree that your download, installation and use of the Application and / or use of the Websites (www.stargroup.nz; www.stargroup.nz/starsocial) is at your own risk and cost, and solely for your private, personal and non-commercial use.
28. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for all acts and omissions associated with your access and use of the Application and / or Websites, and the access and use of the Application and / or Websites by anyone on your behalf. When using the Application, you should refrain from wilfully, or negligently modifying, reverse engineering, disassembling or converting the Application.
29. All material and logos on the Application and Websites remain the property of Star.
30. Star is not responsible for the content of any other websites or applications linked on the Application or Websites.
LIABILITY
31. All conditions and warranties, whether express or implied and whether arising under legislation or otherwise, as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness for purpose, or safety of any goods or services supplied under the StarSocial Partnership, are expressly excluded to the full extent permitted by law.
INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY YOU
32. All personal information or material that you submit to this site is subject to Star’s Privacy Policy (www.stargroup.nz/starsocial-privacy-policy). The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
